Kindergarten Philosophy

I want your child to feel welcome in my home and feel free to express him or herself. I will strive to understand your child, to meet his/her emotional, mental and physical needs. It is my aim to provide your child with an interesting and fun learning experience to prepare your child for grade one. I hope, above all else, to develop a strong relationship with your child, as I believe positive, loving relationships to be of the utmost importance in a young person's life.

Tutoring Philosophy

I thoroughly enjoy tutoring one on one because the child’s problems and progress are both so easily observed. I especially appreciate the opportunity to watch a child’s confidence grow with his/her abilities and successes. In my experience, optimal results can be achieved when the child, parents/guardians, teacher and I work closely to ensure a common objective. I strive to make learning interesting and fun, to keep your child motivated.

• taught for 2 years in a private Montessori school - 1 year of Casa Level & 1 year grades 1, 2 & 3
• stay-at-home mum since 1999, to nurture my 2 amazing boys, during which time I have provided home childcare, preschool/kindergarten & tutoring services
